Authorities have apprehended two unwelcome guests who were living in the residence of an out-of-town homeowner – eating, sleeping, and consuming illegal drugs inside the home while continually stealing valuable items. On Dec. 17, deputies arrived at the residence on the 4000 block of Edgewater Court near the Kiva on Lake Tulloch. Authorities received a report the previous day that there were squatters living at the home and confirmed with the homeowner via phone that the residence should be vacant, according to a Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office press release.
